Getting started with your ResiLand file

A few one-time security steps the first time you open your file. These come from Windows and Excel, not from ResiLand — every downloaded file with macros in it works this way.

Download the file — don't open it in your browser

Clicking the file directly in OneDrive can open a web preview of Excel that doesn't support the tool's buttons or calculations. Download it first, then open the downloaded copy.

Unblock the file

Right-click the downloaded file → Properties. If you see a message about the file coming from another computer, tick "Unblock", then click Apply and OK.

Enable editing

Open the file. If you see a "Protected View" bar at the top, click "Enable Editing".

Enable content

If you then see a yellow bar about macros being disabled, click "Enable Content". The tool's buttons won't work until you've done this.

If a button still won't run

Save the file (Ctrl+S), close it, and reopen it once.

This is a normal one-time step the first time a downloaded file is trusted — not a fault with the file.
